Estimates & Pricing
Answer a few questions online (it takes about two minutes) and you'll see an estimated price range for your project. If you like it, we book a free professional measurement and turn that range into a firm quote. There's no cost or obligation at any point.
Because we haven't measured yet, and an honest range is better than a guessed exact number. Your firm price comes after the free measurement, when we know your exact square footage and cutting waste. A subfloor can only be judged once the old floor is off, so anything found there is priced separately and only added with your written OK.
Within one business day of your estimate request, and usually sooner.
Unless you chose material only, yes: every Floorrable quote covers material and professional installation together, plus the extras you selected like removing the old floor, baseboards and trim, or moving your furniture. Stairs are the one exception: we price those after an installer has seen them.
It depends on what is there. Carpet and floating laminate lift quickly, glued vinyl and nailed hardwood take longer, and ceramic tile has to be chipped off the subfloor and weighs several times as much at the dump. The estimate form asks what you have and prices the tear-out and the disposal into your range.
Only if you want to. Nothing can be installed under furniture, so it all has to move either way, and the estimate form asks who does it. Clearing the rooms yourself costs nothing. If you would rather we did it, we move it out of the way and put it back, and you can add the fridge, stove, washer, dryer or dishwasher. Pianos, safes, aquariums, pool tables and wall-mounted televisions go to a specialty mover.
In Ontario only a licensed gas technician may disconnect and reconnect a gas line, so our flooring crew never touches one. Tell us in the estimate form that yours runs on gas and we book a licensed technician for the day, priced in your quote.
Yes. Tell us about them in the estimate form and we will price them with your quote. Stairs are not part of the instant range because every tread is a custom cut and the front edge decides the method: a rounded edge has to be cut back or wrapped before a plank sits flat on it. We price stairs once an installer has measured them.
Products & Samples
Yes. Samples of every floor are on display at our Etobicoke showroom. Visits are by appointment. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and you can book a time on the showroom page.
Our SPC vinyl has a rigid stone-composite core that does not swell when wet, which makes it the floor we recommend for kitchens, entryways and laundry areas. Laminate and wood floors are not waterproof. Every product page says which is which, and we'll always steer you honestly by room.
Each building sets its own requirement, so no floor is approved everywhere. Our SPC has the acoustic pad built into every plank, and we check your building's rule and its underlay requirement before anything is ordered.
Yes. We sell flooring as material only, priced per square foot, for pickup at our Etobicoke showroom or delivery quoted with the order. Start the online estimate and choose the option that says you do not need installation to get a material-only price range.
Condos & Building Approvals
Almost always, yes. Most buildings want a renovation application before work begins, with the product and underlay details and the installer's insurance and WSIB documents.
We prepare it: the product sheet, the underlay specification, the installer's insurance and WSIB documents, and the application itself. Once you approve the quote we submit it to your board or property manager, and we won't order material until your building has confirmed its requirements.
That's exactly what we check before you commit. We verify your building's standard first and only recommend floors that clear it. If your board still refuses a floor after you have signed, we find one that meets the rule at the same price where we can, and if nothing suitable clears it we cancel the job and refund your deposit in full.
Installation
Independent professional installers whose liability insurance and WSIB clearance we check before every job. We coordinate the whole job and stand behind the workmanship.
The installation itself is usually the short part. What sets the date is your board's approval where one is needed, your material's lead time, which we confirm with your quote, and your building's elevator booking. Your quote gives you a dated install window, and on the day we work to your building's permitted hours and the elevator time you have booked.
Yes. Removal and disposal is an option you can add to your estimate, and it's priced clearly in your quote.
Payments & Warranty
You choose when you sign: half now and the balance when the work is finished, or the whole amount now. We accept e-transfer and cheque. Nothing is ordered before your deposit clears, and your installation date is held once it does. On the half-and-half option the balance is due once the work is complete and we have walked the floor together.
For seven days after the installation finishes, tell us about anything at all and we come back to look at it. A gap that opened, an edge lifting, a squeak, trim not sitting right. There is no claim to file and no threshold to meet. That window is on top of the two warranties below, not instead of them, and it takes nothing away from your rights as a customer in Ontario.
Two layers: the manufacturer's limited residential warranty on the material, and our own workmanship warranty on the installation. One company to call if anything's ever not right. The manufacturer's warranty document for your collection is sent with your quote on request, and its term is confirmed in writing before you sign.
