About cookies
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. This policy also covers browser storage (local and session storage), which works the same way. Strictly necessary items are always on; Functional and Performance run only if you allow them. Your choices are saved for 12 months, and you can change them any time in . How we handle personal information more broadly is in our Privacy Policy.
Strictly necessary
Always on. The site can't work or stay secure without them.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
fl_consent | Remembers your cookie choices. | 12 months |
fl_asst | Counts messages sent to the chat assistant so it can't be abused. | 24 hours |
fl_portalfl_pdfl_pc | Keep installers signed in to the installer portal, remember trusted devices and hold a sign-in step. | 30 days, 90 days and 15 minutes |
fl_adminfl_demo | Keep Floorrable staff signed in to the admin portal and remember its preview setting. | 7 days and 30 days |
floorrable-finder-progressfloorrable-finder-photofloorrable-stairs-photofloorrable-chips-open | Browser storage that keeps your Floor Finder answers, the photos you add to an estimate and the colour lists you've opened while you browse. | Until you close the tab |
floorrable-quote-handoff | Browser storage that carries the details you type on the homepage into the estimate form, so you don't enter them twice. | Until you close the tab |
Functional
Remember things between visits. With Functional off, saved floors and estimate progress still work, but only until you close the tab.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
floorrable-favs | Browser storage for the floors you save. | Until you remove them |
floorrable-estimate-progress | Browser storage that lets you pick up an estimate where you left off. | 7 days, or until you send the estimate |
Performance
Show us how the site is used so we can improve it. Nothing here is loaded or sent until you allow it, and turning it off deletes the Google Analytics cookies. Google Analytics is set so your visit isn't used for advertising; Google explains how it handles this data in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
_ga_ga_* | Google Analytics cookies that tell visits apart, so we can see which pages are used and how people move through the site. | Up to 2 years |
fl_sidfl_attr | Browser storage for our own visit counter: a random ID for this tab and where the visit came from (a search, an ad or a link). Sent with each page view, and attached to any form you send us. | Until you close the tab |
Advertising and retargeting
Not used. Floorrable doesn't use advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking cookies.
Blocking cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, we can't remember your choice, so you'll be asked again, and the installer and admin portals can't keep anyone signed in. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, Performance starts off.
