Vinyl (SPC) Care Guide
Waterproof SPC floors — Marina Collection
SPC vinyl is the lowest-maintenance floor we sell — 100% waterproof with an attached acoustic pad. Care is simple: keep it free of grit and clean with gentle products.
Everyday cleaning
Sweep or vacuum regularly
Remove dust and grit with a soft broom or hard-floor vacuum setting.
Damp-mop with a neutral cleaner
A damp microfibre mop with a pH-neutral cleaner is all it takes. Being waterproof, spills won't harm the floor — just wipe them up so they don't become slippery.
Protecting your floor
Felt pads under furniture
Protect the wear layer from marking by padding furniture legs and lifting heavy pieces rather than dragging.
Entrance mats
Mats at exterior doors keep abrasive sand off the surface and extend the life of the finish.
Never do this
- Steam cleaners
- Abrasive cleaners or scouring pads
- Wax, polish or oil-based products
- Rubber-backed mats that can discolour vinyl
Climate & long-term care
Sunlight
Prolonged direct sun can warm and fade any floor over time — blinds or sheers during peak hours keep colours true.
