Care & Maintenance
A few easy habits that protect your investment and keep the manufacturer warranty fully valid. Choose your floor type below.
AC4 laminate floors — Gallery, Harbour and Lakeshore collections
Laminate is one of the easiest floors to live with — a tough AC4 wear layer shrugs off daily traffic, and care takes minutes. The essentials: keep water in check and keep grit off the surface.
Vacuum or dry-mop regularly
A quick pass with a vacuum or dry microfibre mop keeps abrasive dust and sand from dulling the wear layer.
Clean with a well-wrung damp cloth
A standard laminate cleaner on a well-wrung cloth or mop handles everyday marks. Avoid large amounts of water — even water-resistant laminate prefers a nearly-dry clean.
Wipe spills promptly
Harbour floors resist surface water for 24 hours and Lakeshore for 72 — but the habit that keeps every laminate perfect is simply wiping spills when they happen.
Felt pads and area rugs
Felt pads under furniture legs prevent marking; rugs at entry points absorb sand and dirt before they spread.
Pets
Trim and maintain pet nails regularly to protect the surface.
Ideal indoor climate
Around 35–55% relative humidity at normal room temperature (about 20°C). During heavy heating months a room humidifier prevents the small joint gaps dry air can cause.
Following this guide keeps your manufacturer warranty valid — improper maintenance (like steam cleaning or wet mopping) is the most common reason warranty claims are declined. Questions? We're one call away.
